Do I need Clockify or Jira?
No. You can create and review your day entirely in Sync4us. Connect Jira to view or log worklogs, and add Clockify to import its entries. Both are optional.
Do I need Jira administrator permissions?
No. Sync4us uses your account permissions. You can only view or change what you already have access to.
How do I connect Jira securely?
Install and open Sync4us, choose “Connect to Jira” and authorize the connection in Atlassian. The app gives each attempt its own security state; this website does not provide a reusable authorization link.
Where are my credentials and hours stored?
Since 0.27.0, after connecting Jira or completing migration, the service stores access and refresh tokens encrypted. The app temporarily uses the access token in memory. Older OAuth profiles keep the refresh token encrypted in Windows; if migration fails, Jira is paused and the local token stays encrypted. The optional Clockify API key is protected in Windows.
Your blocks, notes and history stay on your computer. Team report worklogs stay in memory during the session, including when switching sections. Only filters and a technical context fingerprint are saved for the next visit. The OAuth broker temporarily processes tokens needed to connect and renew Jira. Read the privacy policy for migration and disconnection details.
What information does Sync4us receive in the cloud?
Data needed to manage your account, session, license and organization. Team also includes limited availability and common activities you choose to publish, with an optional Jira reference. The Team report stores Jira account association identifiers by organization and encrypted OAuth tokens linked to your profile and installation after connecting or migrating Jira.
The service does not store your personal hours, worklogs, comments, notes or specific private absence reasons. The OAuth broker processes tokens temporarily.
Who can see my Team calendar?
Only active members of your organization. They see office, remote, vacation or “Unavailable”, without your activities or private absence details.
Can Sync4us log time automatically?
Not in the current version. Sync4us prepares a preview and Jira changes only after your explicit confirmation. Saving the connection workflow does not import or log time.
How are downloads and updates protected?
The beta is delivered only to authorized accounts. Sync4us checks the received package before allowing it to be applied. You decide when to update and restart.
Why might Windows show a warning?
The Windows beta installer and executable are not digitally signed yet. Download only through your account’s private access. Package checks do not replace a publisher signature.
Which steps are available in English?
This page and the request form are in English. Verification emails, account activation and the download page are currently in Spanish. The Windows installer may also show Spanish text. The desktop app has a language setting; this does not mean every screen is translated. The Jira guides are available in English. Privacy, terms, about and contact pages are also available in English. The Spanish legal documents remain the reference.
